un poignard simpsonn 55 strand (London) poignée ivoire, argent...époque 1850 ? Si les fanas de lames avaient une idée
pour la datation j'ai trouvé :
"Rare form spring lancet marked with the Simpson mark and the 55 Strand address. The address marks the piece to post 1863."
"Henry Simpson of 55, Strand, London. Simpson was active from around 1788 working for Robert Simpson at 9 clerkenwell Green and then in partnership: Simpson & Smith, 16 Strand, 1832; Simpson & Smith 15 Strand 1822 before being a sole trader at 55 Strand in 1863. However, there seems there was a transition period as he had a number of items including medical edged instruments, cutlery and boxes of razors shown at the Great Exhibition of 1851. "
