Je continue de parler tout seul, voici quelques détails sur D.Peres, le fabricant de ces ciseaux, indiqués par membre de SRP :

Daniel Peres was a pivotal character in the history of razor making in Solingen himself. In 1792, he opened his business in Solingen, manufacturing pen-knives. This because it was still impossible to start making cutlery outside of the established guilds, but no one in Solingen was making pen-knives at the time, so it was possible to get a permit and rent a small water mill. He also made his own version of the so-called "black polish" and introduced it to Solingen (originally invented by Robert Hinchcliffe in 1760).

The Daniel Peres firm stayed active until the 1970's, when it was bought out by K.R. Witte GmbH (in the 1970's) and was fused into that company in 1997/98 (K.R. Witte's history). Nowadays they still produce scissors under the Daniel Peres "Barrel" trademark.
